Last Call For The FYM Transformation Kit

You must know that I am an Internet Marketer, and an Affiliate Internet Marketer at that, meaning I have no mainstream weight loss product of my own. I research, review and, when appropriate, purchase and personally use some of the products.

Cardio vs Weights
Holly Rigsby (who is in the middle of her FYM Transformation launch) wants to know…, which do you prefer… Cardio or Weights? Well, it turns out that the majority of women polled on popular online fitness websites choose… Cardio!
But why the preference for Cardio if the body shaping, toning and firming results are not achieved? There are 4 answers…
1. It is EASY
After all, how much effort and thought does it take to get on a treadmill for 30 – 60 minutes? You can even chat with friends, read a magazine or even watch TV.
2. Immediate Feedback
For “traditional” cardio machines, do you hop on the treadmill with the goal of burning “X” amount of calories? It is comforting to “see” you are making progress; however, this is misleading feedback.
Fat loss is about how many calories your body burns 24-7, not how many calories you burn per workout. Dieters get caught up in thinking the more calories burned, the better (or faster) results achieved.
But remember… a higher metabolism means more fat loss.
So Cardio is NOT the direction you want to go in.
Cardio does nothing to increase your metabolism for the next 24 hours – in fact your metabolism returns to normal shortly after you finish.
Plus, if your goal is to burn as many calories as possible, it is likely you are spending a tremendous amount of time “doing” cardio – once you are good at going past 30 minutes, you are in the DANGER zone when it comes to preserving your lean muscle.
You see, the longer you “do” cardio, the more your body dips into the protein in your muscle to give you the energy to keep going.
This is one of the reasons why many women increase the amount of time spent “doing” cardio – for with a slower metabolism, results stall, leading to thoughts of having to exercise more to keep get back to seeing results!
Can you see that this is a dead end road?
3. Fear of Weights
The top two comments in regards to weights….
“I don’t want to bulk up” and “It’s just too complicated”
Well, as many of you already know from following Holly and what she writes – women just cannot get big from lifting weights. It is a hormone thing that limits women to simply increasing strength, tone, and firmness when it comes to muscle gains.

Reading the Nutrition Facts Food Label
Dietitian Brenda Thompson has been featured at Fit Fat Loss previously and we want to share another informative short video she prepared with you. It is a very nice short explanation covering one aspect of the food label on how calories from Fat, Carbohydrates, and Protein sources are used to figure the total number of calories of a food. What it boils down to is Fat produces 9 calories per gram, with Carbohydrates and Protein each producing 4 calories per gram. Do the math just as Brenda explains!
Be sure to control the amount of calories you get from fat to help produce a healthy weight loss result. The guideline is to restrict fat calories to 20 – 25% of total calories. With that, you can help metabolize existing fat to get rid of it and really shed some excess pounds.
